Mr Gregor Krajnik Has Been Appointed New Director of Merkur Division

In the nearest future, Mr Gregor Krajnik, the current director of Mersteel Division, will take over management of Merkur Division.

Mr Krajnik was employed by Merkur in 1991. In 2008, when Mr Krajnik was the director of Wholesale at Merkur, he was appointed to orchestrate the establishment of Mersteel Division and has been directing it ever since. Mr Krajnik has ample managerial experience, and thoroughly knows Merkur Group, its systems and business partners. Mr Krajnik plans to ensure that Merkur Division will pursue its strategic long-term development plans also in the future.

In the next few days, Mr Krajnik will gradually assume from Mr Goran Čelesnik the function of the commercial director of Merkur Division. Until the new director is appointed to Mersteel Division, Mr Krajnik will manage both divisions, Mersteel and Merkur. Mr Krajnik, however, will not be appointed to the Management Board. The new Management Board of Merkur Group consists of three members: Mr Bine Kordež, Dr. Milan Jelovčan, and Mr Marjan Smrekar.
