A successful corporation must follow global trends. To do so and to stimulate further growth, Merkur Group has undergone reorganization and established several divisions. 

The Group underwent reorganization after a careful study of all market potentials in the branch. Merkur Group has been striving for optimum organization to ensure substantial growth and rapid expansion. So far, Merkur Group has doubled its sales every five years. Its organization must be constantly upgraded and adapted to the market challenges.

A uniform company has been divided into several divisions. Every division has specialized in its own core programme. Every division addresses a different group of customers to better cater for them. We believe that this will enhance their business in the future.

In the first phase of reorganization, Mersteel Division was formed. Mersteel, trgovina in storitve, d. o. o. is its constituent part. The image and the name – Mersteel, d. o. o. – have changed, but the division will remain a part of Merkur Group. Thanks to fresh ideas, clear strategies, sound development plans, and rich experience we expect to win the leading position on the metal product market in South-Eastern Europe. 

On 1 July 2008, Mersteel Division was established. Then the programme of metal products was transferred from Merkur, d. d. to the new company, Mersteel, d. o. o. Merkur, however, is still the owner of Mersteel. The new division pursues its mission, offers professional services and complex supplies to its customers of metal products, gives satisfaction to its clients, and promotes the development of Group companies.
